Auto Shutdown Relay

Auto Shutdown (ASD) relay is located in Power Distribution Center (PDC). See Figure for 2.0L or Figure for 2.4L. On all models, PDC is located in engine compartment. See Figure for 2.0L or Figure for 2.4L. For circuit identification and wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS . After each repair procedure has been completed, reconnect all components. Individual component testing information is not available from manufacturer. If ASD relay or wiring circuit failure exists, a DTC may be stored in PCM. Perform the following diagnostic test:

• On 2.0L, perform DTC P0685: ASD RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - NEON & SX (CANADIAN) - 2.0L article.
• On 2.4L, perform DTC P0685: ASD RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - SRT-4 - 2.4L article.
