Customer Normal Operating Mode

The customer starts the battery save feature by doing the following:

• Insert key into ignition switch.
• Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Accessory four times without going into RUN.
• Leave the switch in the OFF position after the fourth cycle without removing the key. This puts the BCM into the learn mode.
• The customer then depresses the driver's side Power Door Lock switch in the UP direction.
• A horn chirp will tell the customer that the process has begun.
• Remove the Ignition Key.
• VTSS may be armed before Sleep Mode by using the RKE or the door lock switch.
• Dome lamp battery save will be performed.
• Headlamp battery save will be performed. Accessory delay will be cancelled.
• If the Driver door window is up, then smart glass will be performed (dropped) and not returned.
• If the ignition is cycled to RUN, then the feature is cancelled.
• If the key is left in the ignition when the BCM enters Sleep Mode, then the feature is cancelled.
