Exhaust System: H-Pipe: Installation

  1. Install H-Pipe to mounting position (Figure ).
  2. Connect right spout assembly to H-Pipe (Figure ). Do not  tighten band clamps at this time.
  3. Connect left spout assembly to H-Pipe (Figure ). Do not  tighten band clamps at this time.
  4. Connect right spout assembly to right resonator (Figure ). Do not  tighten band clamp at this time.
  5. Connect left spout assembly to left resonator (Figure ). Do not  tighten band clamp at this time.
  6. Install left side "B" pillar support isolator. Tighten bolts to 28 N.m (250 in. lbs.) (Figure ).
  7. Install right side "B" pillar support isolator. Tighten bolts to 28 N.m (250 in. lbs.) (Figure ).
  8. Tighten all band clamps to 54 N.m (40 ft. lbs.).
  9. Install left and right sill panels (Refer to SILL PANEL and Figure ).
  10. Lower vehicle.
  11. Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
  12. Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. Make the necessary ajustments, if needed.
