Section 86 (Charging System): Generator: Installation: 2.5/2.8L

  1. Install generator.
  2. Install the 2 lower mounting Bolts. See Figure.
  3. Install the Air Cleaner Box. See Figure.
  4. Install the upper support bracket. See Figure.
  5. Install the wiring harness on upper generator bracket. See Figure.
  6. Connect the field connection. See Figure.
  7. Connect the generator battery connection. See Figure.
  8. Raise vehicle and support.
  9. Install the generator drive belt. See Figure.
  10. Install the right front splash shield. See Figure.
  11. Lower vehicle.
  12. Install the engine cover. See Figure.
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. See Figure.
