Servo-Speed Control: Description

A speed control servo is used only with 3.7L V6 or 4.7L V8 engines. 

The speed control servo (4) is located in the engine compartment and is attached to the bottom of the PDC (Power Distribution Center) (1).

The servo unit consists of a solenoid valve body and a vacuum chamber. The solenoid valve body contains three solenoids:

  1. Vacuum
  2. Vent
  3. Dump

The vacuum chamber contains a diaphragm with a cable attached to control the throttle linkage.
