NOTE: A suitable body sealant should be used when removing or moving the hinges.

1. Position the liftgate onto the vehicle and install the six body bolts (1).
2. Tighten the bolts to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
3. Check and adjust the liftgate if necessary. (Refer to BODY/LIFTGATE/LIFTGATE - ADJUSTMENTS) 
4. Connect the power liftgate link rod, if equipped. (Refer to ELECTRICAL/POWER LIFTGATE-SERVICE INFO/LINK ROD - INSTALLATION)
5. Position the upper rear headliner trim and seat fully.
