Theory Of Operation

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) communicates with other modules over the H-LAN 1 and H-LAN 2 BUS communication networks and constantly monitors BUS traffic for necessary operating information. If a monitored communication is missing, lost, unreadable or communication is completely interrupted, the TCM will store a corresponding Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).
