Diagnostic Test
- VERIFY COMPLAINT NOTE: Ensure that the battery is fully charged.
- VERIFY SEAT SPRINGS
- Inspect the passenger seat for a broken spring.
Are there any broken springs?
Yes
- Replace the broken Passenger Seat springs in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the OCM REZERO. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/CONTROLLER, Occupant Restraint (ORC) - Standard Procedure .
No
- Replace the Flex Matt Service Kit in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the OCM REZERO. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/CONTROLLER, Occupant Restraint (ORC) - Standard Procedure .
- If DTC B2713-FLEX MAT SENSOR PERFORMANCE returns active after replacing the Flex Matt, replace the OCM in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the OCM REZERO. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/CONTROLLER, Occupant Restraint (ORC) - Standard Procedure .
CAUTION: Disconnecting or connecting the OCM connectors with the battery connected permanently damages the OCM.WARNING: Turn the ignition off, disconnect the 12-volt battery and wait two minutes before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
- Inspect the passenger seat for a broken spring.
