Install the water pump and the mounting bolts. Tighten mounting bolts to 24 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
Install the heater hoses.
Install the upper and lower radiator hoses.
Install the accessory drive belt tensioner assembly. See Cooling/Accessory Drive/TENSIONER, Belt - Installation .
Install the idler pulleys and mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to 54 N.m (40 ft. lbs.).
Install the A/C compressor and the alternator brace. Tighten bolt and nuts to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
Install the fan shroud assembly and two fan shroud mounting screws.
Install the fan/viscous drive assembly. See Cooling/Engine/FAN, Cooling - Installation .
Make sure there is at least 25 mm (1.0 inches) between the tips of the fan blades and the fan shroud.
Install the accessory drive belt. See Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Installation .
Connect the negative battery cable.
Evacuate air and refill cooling system. See Cooling/Engine/PUMP, Water - Standard Procedure .
Check cooling system for leaks. See Cooling - Diagnosis and Testing
