VALVE, Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Airflow Control: Installation: Installation

1. Clean mounting areas at bottom of air control valve and at intake manifold connecting housing (3).
2. Install new mounting gasket between EGR air control valve (9) and intake manifold connecting housing (3).
3. Install the EGR air control valve and mounting bolts (2). Tighten bolts to 13 N.m (115 in. lbs.).

4. Connect air control valve electrical connector to control valve at point (2).

5. Connect the inlet tube (3) to air control valve (1) and tighten clamp (2).
6. Install the engine cover.
7. Connect negative battery cable.
