Only lubricants bearing designations defined by the following organization should be used:

• Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
• American Petroleum Institute (API)
• National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI)
• Association des Constructeurs Europ e ens d' Automobiles (European Automobile Manufacturers Association) (ACEA)
