Module, Keyless Ignition Node: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the radio. Refer to RADIO, REMOVAL .

  3. Using a trim stick or another suitable wide flat-bladed tool, disengage the snap clips that secure the molded hard plastic outer edges of the steering column gap hider bezel (1) to the instrument panel.

  4. Position the telematic steering column outward and slide the gap hider forward.

  5. Reach in through the opening and disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) module.

  6. There is a tab (1) on each side of the KIN. To remove the KIN, release each tab securing the KIN to the bezel.
