Radiator, Engine Cooling: Installation: Gas

NOTE:

Be sure the air seal is in position before radiator is installed.  Slide radiator down into position. Seat the radiator with the rubber isolators into the mounting holes provided, with a 10 lbs. force.

  1. Position the radiator (3) into the lower supports.
  2. Install the upper radiator mounts (1). Tighten the bolts (2) to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
  3. If equipped. Position air conditioning condenser onto the radiator lower mounts and engage upper mounting tabs.

  4. Install the radiator fans (3). Refer to FAN, COOLING, INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the radiator upper and lower hoses.

  6. Install the air deflector (1). Tighten the bolts (2) to 5 N.m (44 in. lbs.).

  7. If removed, install the power steering cooler (1).

  8. Install the radiator upper crossmember support. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, RADIATOR, INSTALLATION .

  9. Install the coolant recovery container (3) (Refer to INSTALLATION  ).

  10. Install the front bumper center grill support frame (1). Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 in. lbs.).

  11. Install the front bumper center grill. (2). Tighten the bolts (1) to 8 N.m (71 in. lbs.).
  12. Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  13. Connect negative cable to battery.
