Radiator, Engine Cooling: Installation: Installation

  1. Care should be taken not to damage radiator cooling fins during installation.  Install radiator into position. The lower rubber isolators must rest in the holes in the bottom of the radiator support.
  2. Install the A/C condenser mounting bolts (2). Tighten A/C condenser mounting fasteners to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.).
  3. Install the radiator mounting bolts (1). Tighten bolts to 11 N.m (95 in. lbs.).
  4. Install the cooling fan assembly (4). Tighten fasteners to 11 N.m (95 in. lbs.). Refer to FAN, COOLING, ELECTRIC, INSTALLATION .

  5. Connect the lower radiator hose (1).

  6. Connect the upper radiator hose (2).

  7. Install the oil cooler mounting fasteners (1 and 3). Tighten the fasteners to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.).

  8. Install the air cleaner housing assembly (1), connect the throttle body air inlet hose. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
  9. Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  10. Operate the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check the cooling system for correct fluid level.
