The following procedure must be performed, when a shaft or tapered bearing has been replaced. The measurement is performed with all shims removed from the front adapter.
Install input shaft (2) into front adapter.

Install fourth gear synchronizer rings (1) on input shaft (2).
Install mainshaft and countershaft.
Install the case and tighten the bolts to 34 N.m (25 ft. lbs).
