The Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) sensor operates as a typical two wire 5-Volt sensor. It sends a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to monitoring the temperature of the exhaust gases in the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC)/Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR).
- EGT sensor 1/1 (1) inlet of the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC)/Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).
- EGT sensor 1/2 (2) mid-bed of DOC/DPF.
- EGT sensor 1/3 (3) inlet of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)
- EGT sensor 1/4 (4) outlet of the SCR.
