Pipe, Exhaust CROSSUNDER: Installation
- If removed, install the cross under pipe support bracket. Tighten to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).
- Position the cross-under pipe (1) into its position between the catalytic converters.
- Center the cross-under to the bracket. tighten the bolts (2) to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
- Position new gasket (3) onto the catalytic converter flange (4).
- Install the front flange mounting nuts (4). Tighten nuts to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
- Position new gasket (1) onto the catalytic converter flange (4).
- Install the rear flange nuts (3). Tighten to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).
- Install the cross-under support bolts. Tighten nuts to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
- Install the down pipe (1) onto the cross-under pipe. Tighten the nuts (3) to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).
- Install the down pipe isolator (2).
- Check for clearance of the exhaust to body.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
- Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. Make the necessary adjustments.
