Sensor, Pressure Control: Removal
- Remove the engine cover.
- Remove the battery and battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, REMOVAL .
- Remove the relay (1) at the core support.
- Drain the radiator. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove clamps (1) at the upper radiator hose (2).
- Remove the upper radiator hose (2).
- Remove the fasteners (1) holding the power steering lines (2).
- Remove shift cable (1) from manual lever (2).
- Disconnect the solenoid pack (2) wire harness connectors.
- NOTE:
Keep the Top Sound Dampener Cover if replacing the unit
- Remove the fasteners (1) and the front sound damper cover (2).
- Remove the top valve body oil pan (1) fasteners.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the front left side inner wheel splash shield fasteners from front side of wheel opening (1) and fold shield (2) back.
- Turn the wheel (3) fully to the left.
- Remove the fastener (2) at the ground cable (3).
- Remove the clip (1) at the valve body pan.
- Move cable away from the valve body pan.
- Remove the pressure tap plug (2) at valve body oil pan.
- Remove the lower valve body oil pan fasteners (1) and drain transmission fluid.
- Remove the valve body oil pan.
- Disconnect the line pressure sensor (2) wire harness connector.
- Remove the fasteners (1) at the line pressure sensor (2).
- Remove the line pressure sensor from the valve body.
