2.4L 1/2 Intake
CAUTION:
Install camshaft position (CMP) sensor utilizing twisting motion. Make sure CMP sensor is fully seated. Do not drive CMP sensor into the bore with mounting screw. This may cause CMP sensor to be incorrectly seated causing a faulty signal or no signal at all.
- Lubricate the CMP sensor O-ring seal.
- Install the CMP sensor and mounting bolt, tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the CMP sensor wire harness connector.
- Position the engine wiring harness back in its proper installed position.
- Install the engine cover.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
NOTE:
The Cam/Crank Variation Relearn procedure must be performed using the scan tool anytime there has been a repair/replacement made to a powertrain system, for example: flywheel, valvetrain, camshaft and/or crankshaft sensors or components. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
