Diagnostic Test

ACTIVE DTC
NOTE:
Diagnose all CAN communication DTCs before continuing.
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With a scan tool, view DTCs.
  Is the status Active for this DTC?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the Stored Lost Communication DTCs diagnostic procedure. Refer to STORED LOST COMMUNICATION DTCS .
BCM COMMUNICATION RELATED DTCS IN OTHER MODULES
1. With a scan tool check for BCM communication related DTCs in other modules on the CAN Bus.
  Are there any BCM communication related DTCs in other modules on the CAN Bus at this time?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Body Control Module in accordance with the service information.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the service information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL .
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
