Stabilizer Bar, Front: Installation

NOTE:

Before stabilizer bar installation, inspect the cushions and links for excessive wear, cracks, damage and distortion. Replace any pieces failing inspection.

  1. Install the stabilizer bar through the passenger side wheel opening. Rotate the bar as necessary until it is centered over the suspension cross-member.

  2. Install the stabilizer bar bolts (2) securing the stabilizer bar bushing retainers to the cross-member. Tighten bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  3. Install the stabilizer bar link (3) and nuts at each end of the lower control arm. Tighten the stabilizer link to control arm nut (2) to the proper torque specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. On each side of vehicle, install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  5. Lower vehicle.
  6. Install the battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, INSTALLATION .
