Removal And Installation: Installation

NOTE:

If a NEW  Security Gateway Module (SGW) is being installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the module. Failure to flash the module will leave the SGW module in a locked mode preventing SGW module operation.

  1. Position the SGW module.
  2. Install the SGW module screws and tighten securely.
  3. Connect the SGW module wire harness connectors.
  4. Install the driver Knee AirBag (KAB). Refer to AIR BAG, KNEE BLOCKER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  6. If a NEW  SGW module is installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the SGW module.
