Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the clean air hose. Refer to HOSE, CLEAN AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Depress the locking tab (3) while pulling down on the bail (2) to release the wire harness connector (1) from the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

  4. Remove the TCM nut (1) holding the ground wire (4) to the mounting bracket.
  5. Remove the remaining TCM mounting nuts (3).
  6. Separate the TCM (2) from the vehicle.
