Module, Body Control (BCM): Removal
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL
.
- Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1) from the Body Control Module (BCM) (2).
- Remove the fasteners (1) that secure the BCM (2) and bracket to the instrument panel.
- Lower the BCM and bracket (1) from the instrument panel.
- Disconnect the wire harness connectors (2) on the backside of the BCM.
- Remove the BCM from the vehicle.
- If necessary, remove the BCM from the BCM bracket.
