Trip Computer Self-Diagnostics: Notes

The trip computer self-diagnostics consists of 5 tests. When the self-diagnostics cycle starts, the trip computer starts with Test 1. The sequence of tests from that point on is determined by which switch is depressed.

• Depressing the "TRIP/TIME" switch initiates Test 2 when the "ENGLISH/METRIC" switch is in the "ENGLISH" position.
• Depressing the "TRIP/TIME" switch initiates Test 3 when the "ENGLISH/METRIC" switch is in the "METRIC" position.
• Depressing the "FUEL/TEMP" switch initiates Test 4 when the "ENGLISH/METRIC" switch is in the "ENGLISH" position.
• Depressing the "FUEL/TEMP" switch initiates Test 5 when the "ENGLISH/METRIC" switch is in the "METRIC" position.
• Switching the ignition switch to the "OFF" position exits the self-diagnostics WITHOUT resetting any fault conditions.
• Depressing the "RESET" switch returns the trip computer to displaying the current time and WILL reset any existing fault conditions.
