Throttle Body Assembly: Removal
- Release fuel system pressure as described in FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE
in TESTING & DIAGNOSIS section of this article. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner. Disconnect throttle cable and cruise control cable (if equipped).
- Squeeze retainer tabs and disconnect fuel lines by pulling straight out. Note that retainer stays on fuel tube. See Fig 1
. Disconnect TPS and ISC motor wire connectors. Remove injector wire connector. Disconnect vacuum connectors from side of throttle body.
- Remove support brace from cruise control cable bracket (if equipped). Loosen throttle body mounting bolts and remove throttle body. Remove throttle body gasket.
