No Response Message

  1. Disconnect Anti-Lock Brake Controller (CAB) 60-pin connector. Inspect connector for proper wire placement, corrosion, damaged terminals, or pushed out pins. Repair as necessary.
  2. Place DRB-II in voltmeter mode and probe cavity No. 60 of CAB 60-pin connector. See Figure . If reading is at least 9 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not 9 volts, repair open in MD9Dark Blue or MD9Dark Blue/White wire.
  3. Place DRB-II in ohmmeter mode and probe cavity No. 5 of CAB 60-pin connector. See Figure . If resistance is below 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is NOT below 10 ohms, repair open Black (ground) wire.
  4. Disconnect DRB-II from CCD bus diagnostic connector. Inspect connector for proper wire placement, corrosion, damaged terminals, or pushed out pins. Repair as necessary.
  5. If diagnostic connector is okay, use an external ohmmeter to check resistance of White/MD5Voilet wire terminal of CCD bus diagnostic connector. If resistance is above 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is NOT above 10 ohms, repair short circuit to ground in White/MD5Voilet wire.
  6. Use an external ohmmeter to check resistance of Orange wire terminal of CCD bus diagnostic connector. If resistance is above 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is NOT above 10 ohms, repair short circuit to ground in Orange wire.
  7. Connect a jumper wire between ground and cavities No. 11 and 12 of CAB 60-pin connector. See Figure . Use an external ohmmeter to check resistance of White/MD5Voilet wire terminal of CCD bus diagnostic connector. If resistance is below 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is NOT below 10 ohms, repair open White/MD5Voilet wire.
  8. With jumper wire still connected, use an external ohmmeter to check resistance of Orange wire terminal of CCD bus diagnostic connector. If resistance is below 10 ohms, replace anti-lock brake controller. If resistance is NOT below 10 ohms, repair open Orange wire.
