Step 7: Installation Of Slide Lever/Step 6: Spring/Step 5: Key Interlock Cable (Steering Lock Cylinder Side)

With ignition key turned to the lock position or ignition steering lock cylinder removed, install the slide lever to the lock cylinder. After installing the spring to the inner cable of the key interlock cable, install the key interlock cable to the slide lever and the steering lock cylinder. See Fig 1 .
NOTE: When the spring is installed to the steering lock cylinder, ensure that the spring is installed to the tube portion of the slide lever positively and the spring section does not ride over "A". See Fig 2 .
Apply multi-purpose grease to mechanism. See Fig 2 . Ensure key interlock functions properly.
