Door Lock Relay
NOTE:
Door lock relay is located behind kick panel on passenger side. See Figure
.
- Remove door lock relay. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between door lock relay connector terminal No. 2 (Black wire) and ground. See Figure or Figure . If no continuity is present, repair open circuit to ground.
- With door lock switch in LOCK position, check voltage between door lock relay connector terminal No. 1 (Orange/Violet wire) and ground. If battery voltage is not present, repair open to fuse block.
- With door lock switch in UNLOCK position, check voltage between door lock relay connector terminal No. 3 (Pink;Violet wire) and ground. If battery voltage is not present, repair open to fuse block.
- With door lock switch in LOCK position, connect a jumper wire between door lock relay connector terminals No. 1 (Orange/Violet wire) and No. 4 (Orange/Blackwire), and terminals No. 6 (Pink/Black wire) and No. 2 (Black wire). If doors lock, replace relay. If doors do not lock, go to next step.
- With door lock switch in UNLOCK position, connect a jumper wire between door lock relay connector terminals No. 3 (Pink;Violet wire) and No. 6 (Pink/Black wire), and terminals No. 4 (Orange/Blackwire) and No. 2 (Black wire). If doors unlock, replace relay. If doors do not lock, reinstall relay and go to DOOR LOCK MOTOR INOPERATIVE test. Remove jumper wires.
