Fuel Level Sensor Test
Connect fuel gauge sending unit to battery with 12-volt, 3.4-watt test light. Put sending unit in container of water so sensor is covered. See Fig 1 . If test light does not come on, sensor is okay. If test light comes on, replace sending unit.
CAUTION:
After completing test, wipe or blow sending unit dry before installing into tank.
