Test 89A - One Door Fails To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, see appropriate article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE:
  1. Remove key from ignition switch. Remove appropriate door trim panel. Inspect linkage from door lock to door latch. Repair linkage as necessary. If linkage is okay, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect door lock motor connector. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door lock motor connector terminal No. 1 (Orange/Black wire). Depress door lock switch to LOCK position. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Orange/Black wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  3. Check voltage on door lock motor connector terminal No. 2 (Pink/Black wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Pink/Black wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace door lock motor.
