Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)

The TPS uses a 5-volt input voltage supplied by Powertrain Control Module (PCM). A shared TPS return wire is connected to TCM and PCM. The TCM uses TPS reference signal to determine throttle position for controlling shift points, shift quality and torque converter clutch operation for lock-up.
