Inspection Procedure 13 - Engine Stalls When Accelerating
NOTE:
Possible causes are: defective ignition system or vacuum leaks.
- Using scan tool, check for stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). If stored DTCs exist, perform appropriate test procedures for each DTC, and clear DTCs from ECM. If no DTCs exist, go to next step.
- Check for defective ignition coil, spark plugs and spark plug wires. Check for vacuum leak which may cause an improper air/fuel ratio. Check for broken air intake hose.
