The power inverter module (PIM) is the connection between the high voltage battery and the eMotor. It converts the direct current (DC) of the high voltage battery into alternating current (AC) required to power the electric motor.

The PIM is located under the OBCM. It has five high voltage cables attached to it and on low voltage connector. The component is made of aluminum and is fully insulated. Coolant is circulated through it due to the heat that it generates.
