Module, Vehicle Pedestrian Alert: Removal: Removal

NOTE:

Disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. To power down the 12-volt system completely, the 12-volt power down procedure must be carried out.

  1. Depower the 12-volt electrical system. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  2. Detach the electronic shifter switch bezel (1).

  3. Disconnect the three electrical connectors (1) below the electronic shifter switch bezel.

  4. Remove the floor console rear cup holder insert, and remove the rear floor console nut (1).

  5. Remove the two floor console vent panel screws (1), and remove the two floor console vent panels.

  6. Remove the two front floor console screws (1).

  7. Remove the front floor console cup holder insert, and remove the two front floor console nuts (1).
  8. Disconnect the floor console 12-volt outlet electrical connector, and remove the floor console.

  9. Remove the two center console screws (1), and the two center console bolts (2).

  10. Disconnect the pedestrian alert module electrical connector (1).
  11. Remove the two plastic retainers (3), and remove the pedestrian alert module (2).
