Module, Vehicle Pedestrian Alert: Installation
- Install the pedestrian alert module (2), and the two plastic retainers (3).
- Connect the pedestrian alert module electrical connector (1).
- Install the two center console bolts (2), and the two center console screws (1).
- Connect the floor console 12-volt outlet electrical connector.
- Install and tighten the two front floor console nuts (1) to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.), and install the cup holder insert.
- Install the two front floor console screws (1).
- Install the two floor console vent panels, and the two floor console vent panel screws (1).
- Install and tighten the rear floor console nut (1) to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.), and install the rear cup holder insert.
- Connect the three electrical connectors (1).
- Install the electronic shifter switch bezel (1).
- Connect the negative 12-volt battery cable. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
