Removal And Installation: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Using a small flat bladed tool, release the retaining tabs (1b) and remove the screw cover (1a).
- Remove the screw (2) for the instrument panel hood.
- Using trim stick or equivalent, release the retaining clips (1b) and remove the instrument cluster hood (1a).
- Remove the instrument panel center hood. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL
.
- Using trim stick or equivalent, remove the driver side instrument panel trim panel (1b).
- Remove the four screws (1a) from the steering column shroud gap hider (1c).
- Position the steering column shroud gap hider aside.
- Remove the three screws (1a) for the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) (1b).
- Pull the IPC (1b) from the instrument panel and disconnect the instrument panel wire harness (1a).
- Remove the IPC (1b) from the vehicle.
