Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Using a small flat bladed tool, release the retaining tabs (1b) and remove the screw cover (1a).
  3. Remove the screw (2) for the instrument panel hood.

  4. Using trim stick or equivalent, release the retaining clips (1b) and remove the instrument cluster hood (1a).
  5. Remove the instrument panel center hood. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL .

  6. Using trim stick or equivalent, remove the driver side instrument panel trim panel (1b).

  7. Remove the four screws (1a) from the steering column shroud gap hider (1c).
  8. Position the steering column shroud gap hider aside.

  9. Remove the three screws (1a) for the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) (1b).

  10. Pull the IPC (1b) from the instrument panel and disconnect the instrument panel wire harness (1a).
  11. Remove the IPC (1b) from the vehicle.
