Removal And Installation

NOTE:

After removing and refitting the Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), it becomes necessary to check that the battery charge is not less than 80%. Otherwise, recharge the battery so that it is more than 80% charged. If the battery is being replaced, check that the replacement part is a Heavy Duty version.

REMOVAL

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Disconnect the wiring harness connection (1) from the IBS (3).
Loosen the nut (2) and disconnect the battery negative terminal.

INSTALLATION

Connect the ground lead to the battery negative terminal.
Connect the battery negative terminal and tighten the nut.
Connect the wiring harness connector to the IBS.
