Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the generator (1b) onto the engine and install the generator bolts (1a).
  2. Tighten the generator bolts to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  3. Position the coolant tube into place and fully seat the retaining clips (1).

  4. Connect the B+ electrical connection to the generator, then tighten the B+ nut (3) to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install the protective cap (2) fully seating the retaining clips.
  6. Install the retaining clip (4) securing the B+ cable.
  7. Connect the generator wire harness connector (1).
  8. Install the turbocharger air inlet hose. Refer to HOSE, CLEAN AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  9. Install the drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  10. Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
