Test U - Key Power Test

  1. Turn ignition off and wait 10 seconds. Install breakout box with ECA connected. With DVOM on 20V range, connect leads to pins 5 and 60. Perform Engine Running Self-Test. If DVOM reading exceeds 17.5V during QUICK TEST, repair charging system. If reading remains below 17.5 volts and code 65 is present, replace ECA and repeat QUICK TEST  . If DVOM remains below 17.5V and code 65 is not present, go to next step.
  2. Perform KEY ON-ENGINE OFF (KOEO) SELF-TEST  . If code 65 is not present, charging system is okay, test complete. If code 65 is present, check charging system.
