Test Steps: Notes

Carefully perform the following test steps in sequence. The Key On Engine Running (KOER) test is intended to detect hard faults only, not intermittent faults.

1. Visually check vehicle systems for a non-related fault, such as a disconnected vacuum hose, faulty spark plug, broken wire or weak electrical connection. Ensure engine cooling system is full. Warm engine to operating temperature.
