Instrument Panel - Standard: Testing: Ammeter

With engine off, turn headlights on. Meter pointer should move toward "D" (discharge) side of gauge. If pointer does not move, check connections at rear of meter housing, printed circuit connections and multiple connector at printed circuit.
If connections are good, replace ammeter. If ammeter pointer moves toward "C" (charge) side of gauge with lights on and engine off, reverse ammeter connections.
