Speedometer Signal Check No. 1

  1. Place test light between a 12-volt source and Green/Red wire at instrument cluster 18-pin connector. Instrument cluster 18-pin connector is located behind instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER 18-PIN TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION illustration.
  2. Drive vehicle between 0-5 MPH. If test light glows, replace speedometer. If test light does not glow and vehicle has an automatic transmission, go to SPEEDOMETER SIGNAL CHECK NO. 2.
