Valve Body: Disassembly

  1. Remove battery and battery carrier. Disconnect main fuse block, five 4EAT connectors and separate 4EAT harness from transaxle clips.
  2. Raise and support vehicle. Drain transaxle fluid. Disconnect oil cooler outlet and inlet hoses. Remove valve body cover and gasket.
  3. Remove kickdown cable from throttle cam. Pinch tangs of mating connector mounted on case to disconnect solenoid connector. Push connector inward, and remove connector. Remove valve body retaining bolts, and carefully remove body.
