Door Key Disarm

  1. On all models, arm the alarm system. Unlock driver's door with key and open door. If warning light blinks and alarm does not trigger, disarm sequence is okay. Go to step 1) of KEYLESS ENTRY DISARM TEST. If alarm triggers, try key in passenger's door, enter keyless entry code or disconnect battery to stop alarm. Go to step 2).
  2. On Continental and Mark VII, check voltage at terminal "H", circuit No. 25 (Dark Green/Purple) wire of control module when a door key is in unlock position. If reading is less than one volt, replace control module and retest system. If reading is more than one volt, check door lock switch or circuit No. 25 (Dark Green/Purple) wire.
  3. On Cougar, Town Car and Thunderbird, check pin No. 6, circuit No. 25 (Dark Blue/Purple on Cougar and Thunderbird; Dark Green/Purple on Town Car) wire of control module when door key is in the unlocked position. If reading is less than one volt, replace control module and retest system. If reading is more than one volt, check door key disarm switch or circuit No. 25 wire for open circuit.
