Failure Mode Effects Management (FMEM), Code 98

The FMEM mode allows system operation when one or more sensors fail or transmit signals which are out of their normal operating range. The ECA will substitute a mid-range signal for the defective sensor and continue to monitor the sensor. If the faulty sensor signals return to within the normal operating range, the ECA will use those signals. A Code 98 will be displayed when the FMEM mode is in effect.
