Instrument Panel Ground Check No. 1

  1. Check for 11-13 volts on Black wire at instrument panel 18-pin connector. See IDENTIFYING INSTRUMENT PANEL 18-PIN CONNECTOR illustration. Instrument panel 18-pin connector is located on right side of dash, near steering column.
  2. If voltmeter reads 11-13 volts, repair Black wire between instrument panel and ground. If voltmeter does not read 11-13 volts at 18-pin Black wire, replace voltmeter.
