Keyboard Function Check No. 2

  1. Using Gauge System Tester (Rotunda 021-00055), connect one lead of tester to Black/White wire at instrument keyboard 10-pin connector and other lead to ground.
  2. Instrument keyboard 10-pin connector is located behind trip computer keyboard. See IDENTIFYING ELECTRONIC KEYBOARD CIRCUITS illustration.
  3. Slowly adjust resistance from 0-1000 ohms and back to 0 again. Check if A/ECON, I/ECON, AV/SPD and DIST functions are working. If functions are not working, go to KEYBOARD FUNCTION CHECK NO. 3.
  4. If all functions are working, replace keyboard. If only some functions are working, replace trip computer.
