3.8L & 5.0L: Removal
- Disconnect wiring connector from air by-pass valve, TPS and EGR position sensor. Disconnect throttle and transmission linkages from throttle body. Remove cable bracket with cables attached, and position aside.
- Identify and disconnect all vacuum lines to throttle body, intake plenum and intake manifold. Disconnect PCV system from fitting at rear of intake plenum. Remove EGR valve and EGR transducer.
- Remove nut retaining alternator bracket to intake plenum. Remove 2 bolts retaining alternator bracket to water pump and alternator. Remove bolts holding intake plenum to intake manifold. Remove intake plenum and throttle body as an assembly.
