Preliminary Information

Ensure battery is fully charged. A partially discharged battery could be causing the problem. Disconnect and reconnect battery to reset system. If none of the following complaints is the problem, go directly to step 1). If any of the following complaints seem to be the problem, go to appropriate test.

• If door locks bind when manually operated, proceed to PINPOINT TEST F  , step 9).
• If system does not operate in freezing temperature, proceed to PINPOINT TEST F  , step 18).
• If door locks work only when engine is running, proceed to PINPOINT TEST F  , step 19).
• If door locks work intermittently, go to PINPOINT TEST F  , step 17).
• If illuminated entry does not work when door is opened by hand but works properly with keyless entry, go to PINPOINT TEST E  , step 7), step 1).
